Citadines Apart Hotel Holborn-Covent Garden London Review

I love a stay cation when I can have one and staying at the Citadines Holborn-Covent Garden London location was no different. It’s situated in the  perfect location between two bustling neighbourhoods but was quiet enough to make us believe we had escaped the city for the night.

Citadines are part hotel, part apartment and offer guests multiple serviced apartment choices that are stylish, modern and aptly furnished with the amenities and services required to aid any business or leisure stay. Each serviced apartment is fitted with a fully-equipped modern kitchen, a bed area, en suite bathroom and a living area. Weekly housekeeping and wireless internet connectivity are included and a business corner on the ground floor. Other amenities include an on-site facilities  business meeting and conferences rooms available for rent, baby amenities, private carpark as well as a range of available services: on-demand cleaning, delivery shopping and dry cleaning. (They are definitely perfect for long term stays and it was super handy the next morning when we heated up our left over pizza).

Upon arriving at Citadines, we were impressed with the Covid-19 Safety measures in place. There are sanitisation spaces, one way entrances/exits and staff were wearing masks. In our Studio Deluxe Apartment, it was evident that the room was sanitised and cupboards are sealed shut with stickers indicating that everything has been sanitised and asking guests to not open them unless required.

The closest Tube station to the residence is Holborn Tube Station and is only 2 minutes walk away. There are plenty of dining options available around the hotel if you don’t feel like cooking for yourself and the hotel suggests The Princess Louise, an opulently decked pub that serves up real ale and pub grub, or My Old Dutch, a cafe that puts up traditional Dutch snacks and pancakes. Though given the hotel apartment is so close to Covent Garden, despite the wet weather we had a leisurely stroll there for Pizza from Franco Manca before heading back to our room to enjoy some of the fruit and wine Citadines Staff had left for us.

The beds was extremely comfy and my friend and had a lovey evening watching movies and talking until late evening. I couldn’t believe how quiet the room was, especially given the central location and this is a big plus for me when staying at a hotel.

We left pretty early the next morning but throughly enjoyed our stay. Citadines is perfect for a staycation or if you need a central location if you’re visiting London. It’s affordable, especially with prices starting at £65 a night. It’s on my list to recommend to friends and family members who visit London and need an affordable, comfy place to stay, Thanks for a lovely night Citadines… you are ONIN.London approved.
