City Social – Sky High Michelin dining experience
Standing proudly among the towering skyscrapers dominating the skyline of City of London is the iconic Tower 42. Ascend to the 24th floor and you’ll find Michelin starred Chef and restaurateur Jason Atherton’s, City Social. Under the direction of new Head Chef Dan Birk, City Social welcomes guests back with a new carefully curated menu celebrating the very best of modern British fare.
If guests can draw their eyes away from the spectacular panoramic views and beautiful elegant art deco style surroundings, they’ll feast their eyes on the exquisite mix of beautifully refined dishes showcasing fresh British grown produce, with an added international twist. Inventive starters include Roasted Orkney scallops, pearl barley, caramelised cauliflower and Dexter beef, maitake, miso crème fraiche, pickled mooli, sesame. Followed by elegant mains which include Isla of Gigha Halibut, white beans, preserved lemon, razor clam velouté and Aynhoe estate venison, cep, turnips, juniper, watercress.
Vegetarians and vegans can also enjoy thoughtfully curated dishes from their Plant based menu including Confit carnival squash with Brogdale pear, toasted seeds and barbequed heritage carrot, yuzu, roscoff, bitter leaves. Finish of with decadent desserts such as Brogdale raspberry parfait, white chocolate, meringue.
For a touch of modern elegance City Social’s Social 24 bar is a perfect informal setting to enjoy delicious infused cocktails from their extensive spirits and cocktail menu whilst nibbling on all day light bites.
A short walk from Liverpool Street Station, City Social provides the ultimate haven in the sky to dine, drink or work whilst enjoying tranquil floor-to-ceiling views spanning the City. The private dining room and Chef’s Table are also available to book for those seeking additional privacy.
