COMING IN HOT PROPER LAUNCHES LIMITED EDITION HOUSE HOT SAUCE & EDIBLE CANDLE 

The House Hot Sauce was originally developed as the flavour foundation for PROPER’s new House Hot Sauce Lentil Chips, and will now be released in bottled form — alongside a first of its kind, ultra-limited House Hot Sauce edible candle for the ultimate spicy snacking experience.

Hot Sauce has moved from humble condiment to cultural obsession and now PROPER is launching a limited edition bottle (£7, 100ml – launching Thursday 25th June) and ultra-limited edition edible hot sauce candle (£30 –  launching Monday 6th July) that melts into a spicy dip made for its House Hot Sauce lentil chips. Both will be available exclusively from @Propersnacks TikTok shop.

Spicy snacks have always forced a trade-off: plenty of heat but little flavour, or plenty of flavour but no real heat. So rather than looking to other snacks for inspiration, PROPER did it differently — setting out to make the perfect hot sauce first, then building the lentil chip from that. And now that very hot sauce that inspired the chips, is available to buy by the bottle.

PROPER’s in-house Head Chef, Ed Ibbotson, meticulously developed the recipe using a blend of chillies selected for both vibrant spice and flavour complexity. Jalapeños deliver a bright, spicy top note, while deeper layers of heat bring fruity and savoury flavours that build and linger. The result is heat that delivers pleasure, rather than punishes — built for flavour, not endurance — and the same profile that defines the chips.

But PROPER isn’t stopping at the bottle.

Alongside the sauce, the brand is releasing a fully edible hot sauce candle designed to create the ultimate spicy snacking ritual. Light it, let it melt, and dip your House Hot Sauce Lentil Chips into the warm, spicy sauce.
