Coya City Review
This Spring, COYA City has introduced Río Pisco Fridays – a vibrant after-work celebration inspired by the spirit and soul of Peru. Taking place every Friday at COYA City from 5–9pm, this weekly ritual is named after the Río Pisco – an iconic river that winds through southern Peru’s Inca region, the birthplace of the famed pisco spirit.
We were invited to try the new offering, which features 90 minutes of free-flowing cocktails, Champagne, selected wines, and beer, all perfectly paired with the chef’s signature Peruvian bites; all for £60pp.
Inspired by some of the oldest bars in Lima, COYA’s Pisco Bar offers a lively drinking experience that blends traditional Latin American mixology with a modern twist. Their Pisco Sours were spot on, and I really enjoyed the Chilcano, a blend of Pisco, lime juice, ginger ale and Angostura bitters. My favourite drink of the evening was definitely a toss up between the classic Pisco Sour and a MaraCoya Spritz; a sweet drink with passionfruit pisco and prosecco.
When it comes to food, we were given three of the chef’s signature bites: Guacamole with crisps to dip, Mushroom Skewers and Salmon tacos. All were really fresh and tasty, but the highlight of our visit was definitely the cocktails.
As the evening unfolds, a live DJs set the vibe – a perfect way to kick start the weekend and to raise a glass with friends or colleagues.
