Meeting Chiara Vania, founder of Skincare brand KITA was fascinating, she talks to us about what inspired her to create KITA and why you should never stop dreaming.

1. WE FIND THE CONCEPT BEHIND KITA INTRIGUING, TELL US HOW THIS CAME ABOUT?

I believe that the ability to feel balanced in today’s busy world is one of the biggest challenges we face. I’ve been lucky enough to grow up with two doctors for parents and saw first hand, the powerful effects of rebalancing the body’s energy which, in turn, inspired me to create KITA. Designed for the busy lives we all now lead, KITA offers customers a chance to hit the refresh button, and enjoy a renewed sense of vitality and ultimate radiance every day.

2. WHERE ARE KITA SERUMS STOCKED?

Our Moisturising Serums are available all over the world through the .com platform. We’ve also just launched onto Style.com, Conde Nast’s new luxury shopping platform and we’re also available in luxury retailer L’Eclaireur in their Paris boutiques – and that’s just in the last year alone! More stockists and retailers are something we’re working hard on and we’re excited to be expanding into new doors and markets all over the world.

3. DO YOU HAVE ANY PLANS IN EXTENDING THE RANGE?

This is the one question I get asked all the time as our customers love KITA. New product development is something we’re absolutely working on and something that’s in the pipeline, but our serums took nearly 3 years to create so we’re a while off launch for the newest additions yet, but watch this space, there will be some news and exciting developments coming soon!

4. BEST PIECE OF ADVICE YOU HAVE BEEN GIVEN?

Rather than advice, I follow and work by this quote from Kahil Gibran who says: ‘Trust in dreams, for in them is hidden the gate to eternity.’ Of course, dreaming alone isn’t enough, hard work and determination need to be a big part of the journey too but never stop dreaming!

5. WHERE IS YOUR HAPPY PLACE?

By the sea. I love to travel and I’m fortunate that my work takes me all over the world. In summer, I’ll often be found holidaying in the South of France or Sardinia, while in the Winter I like to escape to the warmer crystal clear waters of the Maldives.

6. WHAT ARE YOUR FAVOURITE PLACES IN LONDON TO HANG OUT?

Discovering new restaurants and bars in the city is one of my favourite pastimes. My current love is Coya.
