Crosstown’s New Doughnut Range

Onin.London were recently sent a box of Crosstown’s Vegan  Crème Brûlée doughnut and their seasonal offerings. As with the Anzac Day specials we reviewed earlier this year… we couldn’t have been more impressed.

What are the seasonal range? Well it’s the Yuzu Scroll with Berry Lime Glaze and the Rhubarb Lemon Oil Doughnut. Both sweet and fruity, they’re the perfect combo for those that love a sugary glazed doughnut.

Yuzu Scroll with Berry Lime Glaze (ve) – Crosstown’s vegan sourdough is coated in Japanese yuzu compote and rolled up to create light layers. The scroll is then glazed whilst warm with berry and lime icing and finished with Crosstown’s signature dark chocolate cross.

Rhubarb Lemon Olive Oil – Luminous pink forced Yorkshire rhubarb compote layered between Crosstown’s fluffy cake dough, which is then dipped in Sicilian lemon olive oil icing and finished with a dusting of red berry powder and a pink chocolate cross.

Crosstown’s Crème Brûlée vegan doughnut though is where it is at, so doughnut lovers can be glad it is finally back on the menu. Crafted with Crosstown’s award-winning vegan sourdough, the Crème Brûlée is filled with smooth Tongan vanilla custard and topped with caramelised sugar to give a distinctive crack and a real depth of flavour.

‘The Crème Brûlée is no stranger to the Crosstown line-up, in 2017 it was a best seller, and now with a vegan take on this crowd pleaser, it is set to be a huge hit amongst Crosstown fans. Due to its handcrafted nature, it will be available each day in limited numbers.’ – Says Adam Wills, Co-founder of Crosstown.

The Crème Brûlée will be available in-store and on-demand exclusively across London and Cambridge, in limited numbers. Customer’s will be able to purchase the flavour individually (£4.50), in mixed six packs alongside Tongan Vanilla Glaze doughnut (£22), and as part of Crosstown’s Favourite and Vegan doughnut boxes, in packs of six and twelve (£22/£38).

Customer’s will be able to purchase the flavours in-store, for same-day delivery and collection individually (£4.50) and as part of Crosstown’s Favourites, Vegan and Nut-Free (ve) doughnut boxes (£22) from the 26th April.

Nationwide:

Both flavours will be available to be purchased in mixed boxes of six (£27.50), commencing the 27th April, pre-orders for delivery available now.
