The Crown, Battersea Review
Wednesday night, ONIN.London ventured down to day one of a 5 day re-launch of The Crown in Battersea.The pub recently had a £400,000 upgrade and this place is bound to become the hippest hangout in the area. The atmosphere was pumping with locals and press mingling to the sounds of The Tricks, while local craft gin, rum and beer producers provided mini-master classes to the guests.
There was certainly plenty to do but we jumped straight into meeting the makers of Hayman’s Gin and Renegade Gin. Learning about the two gin products in in a relaxed and chilled environment was the perfect way to wind down after a busy day work. Both brands are passionate about their products and full of detailed information about how the gin is made locally in the area. You’ll have to check them out as both brands run distillery tours for those interested in learning more about the products.
Unbeknowst to us Gin drinkers, there’s also a number of craft beer breweries in the area. You can visit the Belleville Taproom or the Hiver Beer Brewery to learn all about their products. Definitely sounds like a perfect way to while away few hours – especially if you’re really into your craft beer. My plus one was definitely converted!
In terms of food, well “Burger Craft Kitchen” kept our bellies full all night and I have to recommend the Buttermilk Chicken Burger. Absolutely divine! It didn’t last long on my plate and that’s a sign of great burger. You’ll certainly be spoiled for choice with the different burgers and loaded fries on offer. 
We really loved the refurb of The Crown, not only for the atmosphere but for the craft gin, rum and beer feature wall. It certainly is eye-catching and the bartenders’ know their stuff, so are all too happy to recommend what you should try next.
The 5 day re-launch parties end on the 25th of March, so make your way down to Battersea for free give aways, masterclasses, flash sales and a whole lot of fun. You won’t regret it!
