Dalloway Terrace Review

People flock to Dalloway Terrace, not only because of the scrumptious food they dish up, but because of the beautiful floral arrangement that adorns the walls, and my what a sight it is!

I headed on over to try out the new ‘lunch in the jungle menu’, available daily, from 12pm – 3pm, offering a good healthy exoitic selection of dishes including vegan options. Whats more appetising… a two course meal is only £25 and a three course meal is £30.

You can’t help but marvel at your surroundings when you’re seated, while I looked around, taking a few photos, I felt the lively and energetic buzz in the air, however it does feel very tucked away from the hustle of Central London, which I liked.

For the starters I opted for the smoked jackfruit salad with a lime and chilli dressing, I was pleasantly surprised at how big the portion was for a starter, so if you order this and a main, I recommend you come with an empty stomach. The salad came with wild rice, almost making it a main dish, the dressing was divine, certainly a good start to the meal.

For the main, both me and my friend went for the Sri lanken curry, which come with tofu, chickpeas, rice and poppadoms, a great option for a vegan. It was beautifully presented and again I was pleased to see how generous the plate was. it was soft on the pallet, not too spicy and it went down a treat for us both.

If like us, you have a sweet tooth, leave space for dessert. We both went for the carrot cake, which was topped with carrot sorbet. This by far was the best carrot cake I’ve ever tasted (and believe me I’ve tasted a lot), sweet, creamy and the carrot sorbet was the icing on the cake. It was a melt in the mouth dessert. The only thing that was disappointing, it wasn’t a big enough slice, I definitely could have done with more.

Eating at this beautiful classy terrace was an absolute treat and because of how affordable the ‘lunch in the jungle’ menu is, it appeals to everyone. Don’t forget a fully charged phone battery, you will definitely want to takes photos of the terrace, its a beauty!

If you want to continue enjoying an indulgent afternoon, pop into the Coral Rooms, next door, where they have a bar stocked full of the finest wines and sprites, or if you want something sweet, opt for a scrumptious cocktail. The beauty in the Coral Rooms, will blow you away, its achingly stylish. No doubt we will be back, sooner than later…
