Electric Shuffle Is Now Open!

Wednesday night we attend the launch of the brand new shuffleboard activity bar, Electric Shuffle. The bar is in the lovely Canary Wharf and has reinvented Shuffleboard like you’ve never seen before.

Electric Shuffle comes from the minds behind Flight Club, the Social Darts venues that supercharged the traditional game of darts, and promises a fresh new take on the pub classic. The new bar uses unparalleled machine vision technology to create a fast-flowing, fu game which will have participants screaming with joy and watchers desperately waiting for their turn.

Up to 16 players, split into 2 teams, step up to the table and compete in three games, each inspired by a different aspect of shuffleboard. Circular weighted pucks are then slid down the long and smooth wooden surface into the score zone to win points. The technology identifies where the pucks are on the table and automatically scores games, all of which is displayed on a screen at the end of the table, guiding players through their shuffleboard experience. And each 90 minute slot only costs £10 so it’s a total bargain.

It was pretty cool to play and great that the scoring is all done electronically. So there’s no chance for your team mates to cheat.

During the night, we tried a range of Electric Shuffle’s delicious cocktails and food. Our favourite had to be the Sharing Cocktail, THE TROPHY OF GLORY containing Ketel One Citroen vodka, Chambord, raspberry, mint, lime, sugar syrup and Old Mout pineapple & raspberry cider. We definitely felt like we’d won the triwizard tournament whilst we consumed this one. It was super refreshing and as it comes served in a huge trophy, plenty of photos were taken.

Food wise, expect a changing seasonal menu which includes sharing plates and showstopping pizza paddles. The pizzas are tasty and it’s no wonder they’re the main event at Electric Shuffle’s Bottomless Brunches which take place Thursday to Sunday.

The Canary Wharf location makes it the ideal destination for a post-work social while easy access to the Jubilee line and DLR means Electric Shuffle will help make Canary Wharf a must-visit area for groups across London looking for something special on their next day or night out.
