‘EleFit’ launches in Elephant & Castle

Fitness and wellness fanatics get ready, because EleFit is launching at the end of April and it sounds like one not to be missed.

Taking place across 27th and 28th April at Castle Square in Elephant & Castle, EleFit is a free weekend festival dedicated to celebrating health and wellbeing.

We’re told there will be activities and workshops ranging from R&B yoga hosted by Elephant & Castle’s own Gymbox, to Rap Therapy and Rollerpaluzza’s Cycling Challenge.

Saturday’s vibes sound upbeat, with cheer-leading classes for the over 65’s, face painting and raving for the children as well as Ministry of Sound’s 80’s Fitness Dance Workout; a fun, high intensity full body workout class, celebrating all things lycra and day-glow!

Sunday is for those seeking a more chilled and serene day, with a focus on meditation and mental wellbeing. The day will kick off with a morning meditation session with the Tibetan Buddhist Centre as well as inspiring words from Pro PT, London based personal trainers who have turned their lives around for the better through fitness and are now training London’s top influencers.

If music is your thing then get ready for Sunday’s performance by a choir group with a self-described genre of ‘a bit of House, a bit of Gospel and a whole lot of Choir’ which sounds like a lot of fun.

There will also be food and drinks aplenty, including free delicious smoothies from drinks brand innocent, and local restaurant Tupi will be selling healthy treats with a Latin American twist.

When: 27th-28th April 2019, from 11:00am – 4:00pm
Where: Castle Square, 40 Elephant Road, London, SE17 1AY
