Fake Bake Tanning With James Harknett at W London Review

If you’d told me when I got back from two weeks in sunny Australia I’d need to go get a spray tan… I would have told you that you were right. I freckle, burn and only on the very rare occasion tan. So going to the W London to meet with James Harknett was a God send.

Fake Bake is the world’s largest independent self-tan company and has revolutionised the tanning industry. Using cutting edge technology and over 25 years’ of product development experience, Fake Bake are the innovative sunless tanning products. Made from the best botanical ingredients Fake Bake is a stain and dye free formula and is the number one professional brand in the UK.

Experiences with two previous fake tans have not been the best, but James put me at ease by explaining the tanning process in great deal. It helps to know exactly what and how the products work. James identified that there was a need for a professional product that had a reduced guide colour that would allow his clients to brave the outside world while their tan naturally matured. He then worked very closely with the Fake Bake lab to develop Flawless Glow, a professional spray tan solution which has a hint of guide colour then develops into a natural golden brown.

Now it was slightly nerve racking upon initially walking into James’ studio at the W London and discovering, that James is the tanning God to the stars. Emilia Clarke, Gerri Halliwell, Miranda Hart and the entire current cast of Dancing On Ice are testaments to his genius.

After less than half an hour, I had a lovely golden brown glow over my entire body. It was even, no streaks and no hint of the scary orange that can come with some other tanning products. I was extremely happy with it. Also I could definitely see myself heading straight out for an evening without having to wait for the product to develop.

The tanning developed quite naturally and continued to stay quite even 5 days later. It wasn’t until the 7th day that I noticed that most of the tan had gone without any major areas of patchiness. I received quite a few compliments on how tanned I looked and even people on the train asked where I’d just been on holiday. They were definitely shocked when I told them it was a professional spray tan. So thanks James – you made me look like a bronzed Goddess.

To book an extremely professional and natural looking tan, it will set you back £50.00 but it’s totally worth it. I’m definitely sold and will be making sure I book in prior to or after my next holiday.
