The Langham’s Afternoon Tea  

Where better to enjoy a festive afternoon tea than where the tradition of afternoon tea began? The Langham has been serving afternoon tea since the hotel first opened in 1865, and this Christmas The Langham has created a Christmassy take on the classic. 

Savouries include Roast Norfolk Turkey, Scottish Salmon Gravlax and Celeriac and Truffle sandwiches, followed by sweet treats such as Tonka bean and orange infused cream, ‘cassonade’ shortbread, Coffee and chocolate opera slice and Crunchy almond sable, almond cream and macerated fruit. 

As part of The Langham’s Christmas partnership with Hamleys, the hotel will introduce a specially designed festive afternoon tea for children, which will feature whimsical, delicious patisseries shaped like legendary historic toys.

Festive Afternoon Tea at The Dorchester  

Step into a festive world of refined indulgence and timeless elegance with a Christmas Afternoon Tea at The Dorchester’s restaurant, The Promenade. Guests can enjoy delicate finger sandwiches like Smoked duck with candied orange and turkey with cranberry and chestnut stuffing, along with seasonal pastries such as Cinnamon mousse and Spiced orange with coffee praline. Complemented by fine Champagne and rare teas, the experience is enhanced by a resident pianist, creating a magical and warm atmosphere for cherished holiday memories.

The Stafford London’s Festive Afternoon Tea  

The Stafford London’s Afternoon Tea takes on a festive flair, adding a touch of Christmas magic to the experience.  Delicate sandwiches, including Roast Turkey and Cranberry and Honey Roasted Ham with Mustard Mayonnaise, and scones are presented on a traditional cake stand, accompanied by coffee or a selection of fine teas.  

Served from a bespoke cake trolley, guests can choose their favourite seasonal cakes and pastries. the festive cake trolley, presented tableside, offers indulgent treats such as Eggnog & Gingerbread Layer Signature Cake, Cinnamon & Orange Mousse and Cranberry & White Chocolate Macaron, all brimming with holiday flavours. Thefestive afternoon tea is priced at £70 per person, or £87 per person with a glass of Louis Roederer Collection 243 Champagne.

Afternoon Tea in the Woods with Mosaic, The Westin London City  

Inspired by the winter forest, The Westin’s Christmas in the Woods Afternoon Tea promises an elegant experience. Available from 22 November 2024 to 5 January 2025, this festive offering includes ten loose-leaf teas from JING Tea, paired with holiday-themed treats. Choose from sandwiches such as Citrus & Dill Mayonnaise Infused Cornish Crab on a mini bun and Roasted Turkey with Cranberries on beetroot bread. Scones, a must for any afternoon tea, include freshly baked Plain & Raisin Scones with clotted cream and blackcurrant jam. The selection of pastries reflects the woodland theme, featuring creations such as Choux Pastry with Blood Orange Custard, Pistachio & Cranberry Cupcakes, and Caramel Coconut Wood Rolls.

The Boodles Afternoon Tea at The Biltmore  

This Christmas, snuggle up at the iconic The Biltmore Mayfair and celebrate Boodles’ illustrious heritage with a visual and culinary tribute to the brand’s renowned creations. The tea features an array of pastries and desserts delicately crafted by The Biltmore’s expert pastry chefs to echo the soft pinks of Boodles’ famous pink diamonds. 

The menu features pastries and desserts crafted to reflect the soft pink tones of Boodles’ famous pink diamonds. Highlights include the Boodles Pink Apple & Vanilla Pearls, the Flower Choux, and the Pear & White Chocolate Heart, each mirroring iconic Boodles pieces. The handcrafted ring box, available for separate purchase, adds a luxurious touch to the experience. 

The Boodles-inspired Afternoon Tea at The Biltmore Mayfair is available from 23rd September 2024 through to 2025. The classic Boodles Tea at The Biltmore is £80pp, with options for Nyetimber Sparkling Wine Afternoon Tea £95 and Bottomless Prosecco Afternoon Tea £115
