With a new winter inspired menu you can opt for hot croques or sweet decadent pastries.

For breakfast 1 we thought a Croque Florentine Spinach, Goat’s cheese, honey, walnuts, Emmental grated cheese, Provençal herbs, cream, butter) (and Croque Basque (Chorizo, Camembert, Emmental grated cheese, cream, butter) would be a great idea! Both filled with layers of emmentel cheese and cream it certainly was decadent choice!

The sweet honey was a lovely addition to a generally savoury selection, it also complimented the salty chorizo. Great idea to share both!

Then for a sweet afters we chose a Gourmandise Chocolat (custard and chocolate filled pastry) and a plump slice of carrot cake.

Mmmm the carrot cake! Layers of sponge cake, grated carrots, soft cheese cream, pecan nuts and vanilla syrup with a decadent layer of chocolate on the bottom! So great!

The Gourmandise Chocolat had a crisp layered pastry and was filled with a warm gooey center. Great for an overcast October morning!

Overall Paul is a pretty great way to spend your weekday morning. Although a chain they still fell pretty intamate and jolly. Inject some lovely Parisian patisserie into your life. Remember to be mindful; it’s the little things that make us happy folks.
