Fishers Gin

Fishers, the authentic coastal spirit from Suffolk, has announced that gin distillation will now take place at their Aldeburgh distillery and it due to open to the public later this year. This will be mean there will be production savings and to pass this on to consumers, the bottle size of Fishers Gin will increase from 50cl to 70cl yet the RRP of £39.99 will remain the same.

The packaging update has been an opportune time to evolve the branding, however the striking geometric net pattern design, inspired by Aldeburgh’s fishing boats seen dotted along the expanse of the shingle beach, will remain. The logo, which will be increasing in size and have a white background for greater stand out on shelf, will change from an anchor to a scallop shell, celebrating Aldeburgh’s iconic sculpture.

Fishers Gin is made in a classic London Dry Gin style and the botanical line-up includes Cardamom, Caraway, Fennel Seed along with rarer coastal plants Bog Myrtle, Rock Samphire, Wood Avens and Spignel. The resulting spirit is herbal and saline, then the addition of citrus peel gives a fresh, zesty brightness to the gin.

Fishers Gin Distillery is due to open in late 2019, located on the beach and metres from the salt marshes in Aldeburgh, and will be open to the public for tours, tastings and food pairing experiences. Boat trips, foraging walks and outdoor dining experiences will be launching in 2020.

You know Onin.London love Fishers Gin so we’re excited not only by the bigger bottle but the chance to visit the distillery next time we escape London.
