Since its founding by Juan Famenias Floris in 1730, Floris have been producing and supplying uncompromising scents to stylish generations from their current location at 89 Jermyn Street. The eighth and ninth generation of the Floris family who still own the famous brand have relaunched the Grade II listed shop following its first major renovation in over 100 years.

The renovation has sympathetically updated the shop maintaining the elegance and spirit of its near 300 year history, and marrying it with a style and function in keeping with the brand luxury range in the 21st Century. The modern lighting and styling emphasising the impact of both the shop front and the Spanish mahogany cabinets originating from the Great Exhibition in 1851.

Floris products continued to be made by hand on the shop premises at 89 Jermyn Street until the 1970s in the sub-basement, affectionately called the ‘Mine’, while the family remained living above the property until the 1950s. The 8th and 9th generations of the family and staff now work above the shop, running the business alongside the perfumery team. Jermyn Street remains a close enclave of like-minded  brands, pinned by traditional values of craftsmanship, shop keeping and customer service.

The tasteful and sympathetic upgrade of the shop brings all that you’d expect from a modern luxury brand along with a taste of the history that will continue to drive Floris’s future.
