Food And Drink Masterclasses At Ichiba Westfield White City

Ever wanted to learn to cook Katsu Curry, Okonomiyaki and Yakisoba or learn more about Sake? Well here’s your chance as we’re pleased to announce some exciting events at Ichiba Westfield White City!

Katsu Curry Masterclass (27 Mar) –

There will be a hands-on katsu curry workshop and learn how to make scrumptious katsu curry at home!

Okonomiyaki & Yakisoba Masterclass (24 Apr) –

Learn how to make the popular Kansai street food, Okonomiyaki and Yakisoba from Kansai native, Kinu Yukawa. The name Okonomiyaki derived from the word ‘okonomi’ meaning ‘as you like it’ and ‘yaki’ meaning ‘grill’.  Have fun making your own Okonomiyaki and Yakisoba with your favourite toppings. Vegetarian toppings are also available.  

Rice Varieries (20 Mar) –

Learn how sake like honjozo and ginjo differ from one another, how much the rice is milled affects both the sake taste and accompanying dishes. After the talk, join us for a tasting of sake from various breweries with a new-found appreciation for the art of sake brewing!

Regional Sake (17 Apr) – 

Learn about how even amongst the various production processes and rice varieties, Japanese sake has variations on a regional level. Every region has a speciality brewery that is dedicated to the production of sake, so once the taste is over, explore regional variations on sake for yourself!
