Glitterbox gets creative – Soulfuness & Soladarity Virtual Festival
If lock down has left you lethargic and yearning to get your groove on and let your hair down, then join the renowned Glitterbox for a digital dance festival like no other. Their debut live stream brought together 1.2 m viewers across 125 countries proving that although we may be isolated in our homes, music brings people together.
Dig out your funkiest clubbing gear (fishnets, sequins, glitter are optional) and join worldwide virtual revellers for a needed dose of joyful, energetic and uplifting House and Disco music for Part two, which streams live on Friday 1st May.
The amazing line up includes DJ sets from: Armand Van Helden, Artwork, Dr Packer, Fat Tony, Jellybean Benitez, John Morales, Roger Sanchez and Smokin’ Jo and the festival will feature Glitterbox’s fierce and formidable troupe of dancers and performers appearing on the stream via video link-ups across social media platforms.
For those extroverts yearning to break free and be seen, here’s your chance to get your dance on & be virtually famous. Glitterbox are launching Dance For The Worldcompetition, giving fans the opportunity to perform in front of millions. Entrants (16 and over only) are asked to upload a 10-minute audition video of themselves freestyle dancing as an unlisted video to YouTube, and email the youtube link to [email protected] by Monday 4th May. The judges will choose five shortlisted dancers from the entries, with one ultimate winner chosen by Glitterbox’s online community to appear in the next Glitterbox Virtual Festival. Express yourself…you know you want to!
No long queues, no entrance fees, just 8 hours of fun and escapism. Throw your hands up in the air and dance around like you just don’t care (well no one is watching)
