Haskapa Superberry Powder

Haskapa is a brilliant and tasty new superberry powder made from the haskap berry. With triple the antioxidants of the blueberry, the haskap berry also has one of the highest recorded anthocyanin values of any berry on the planet. Berries are some of the healthiest foods you can eat, as they’re low in calories but high in fiber, vitamin C, and antioxidants.

We were lucky enough to receive a sample of this product and were excited to try the recommended recipes.

 

HASKAPA WITH
CREAMY FROZEN BANANA, ALMOND & BERRY SMOOTHIE
Haskapa’s flavour complements the banana and almond perfectly!
An easy and delicious breakfast option.
SKILL LEVEL: EASY – SERVES 2
INGREDIENTS:
3 bananas frozen
125g almond milk
2 tbsp almond butter
2 tsp ground flax
2 tsp Haskpa berry powder
• Add all the ingredient to a food processor or blender
• Blitz to combine until smooth and creamy


HASKAPA  WITH
PEANUT BUTTER TOASTS WITH WARM PEARS AND BERRY SWIRL YOGURT
SKILL LEVEL: EASY – SERVES 2
INGREDIENTS:
Bread of choice: 2/3 slices 1 tbsp per slice of
peanut butter
3 pears peeled and diced 1/2 tsp cinnamon
1 tbsp maple syrup
30 ml water
4 tbsp plant based yogurt
2 tsp Haskapa berry powder
• Peel, and dice the pears and add to a small pan with the cinnamon, maple syrup and water.
• Simmer for approx 5 minutes on a medium heat until the pears have softened.
• Toast your bread.
• In a bowl, swirl berry powder into the yogurt.
• To compile, spread peanut butter over the toast, top
with the warm pear and dollops of the berry yogurt.



HASKAPA WITH
COCONUT AND BERRY OVERNIGHT OATS
SKILL LEVEL: EASY – SERVES 2
INGREDIENTS:
100g oats
250ml coconut milk drink
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp vanilla essence/powder 1 tbsp maple syrup (optional) 2 tsp Haspaka berry powder
To make the oats
Also:
2 tbsp coconut yogurt Extra milk to loosen oats (if needed)
20g coconut flakes
• Add the oats, milk and spices and maple to a tub and mix to combine and cover.
• Pop in the fridge overnight.
To toast the coconut;
• Add the coconut flakes to a saucepan, heat on medium until lightly toasted then set aside.
In the morning: Stir the berry powder into oats then top with the coconut flakes, coconut yogurt and a little more coconut drink if needed.
