Hawkstone Hall, Shropshire

3. Hawkstone Hall - Exterior - Small

It’s only a matter of months before Hawkstone Hall, the magnificent Grade I listed 18th Century mansion in Shropshire, will throw open its doors to reveal the results of its recent refurbishment, courtesy of new owners – The Distinctly Hospitable Group.

Set within 88 acres of beautifully manicured gardens, the property is due to open in summer 2018 and is set to stand proudly as one of the most opulent hotels and exclusive wedding venues in the UK. The stunning Georgian property will be accessed via a mile-long gravel driveway, giving guests enough time to take in the surroundings. The venue’s 88 acres will include a rose garden, croquet lawn, apple orchard, ancient cemetery, forested areas and even a ‘secret garden’!

Whether you’re suited and booted for a corporate event or guzzling champagne during wedding speeches, the venue’s main hall and spectacular ballroom will offer a magical space for every occasion. Fairy-tale fiends can embrace their inner Disney princess by gliding down the sweeping double staircase. While culture vultures will be free to roam the historic venue and discover hidden historic quirks such as the private chapel complete with working bells and an organ!

The major renovation has not skimped on offering premium accommodation. In the main hall, there are a total of 12 suites – including the extravagant Honeymoon Suite – all of which will be named after Jane Austen characters.  Adjacent to the main building, a newer wing built in the 1960s will undergo complete renovations to encompass a further 28 bedrooms.  Colour tones will ramp up the romance with soft hues of duck-egg blue and calamine pinks.

Wedding venue – sorted!
