Ice Skating At Hampton Court Palace Review

It’s that time of year again! There’s a chill in the air, a little frost on the ground and the leaves have all but disappeared. Just because winter is here and Christmas just around the corner, does not mean the fun outdoor activities cease to exist, especially once Christmas is over. One of my favourite activities, outdoor ice-skating, has just begun.

How do you choose from the many stunning places around London? Well, why not think just a little further outside the city centre and try skating in front of a beautiful palace? That’s right, you can skate in front of Hampton Court Palace! What a beautiful site it is. Right next to the river too. Kids have little penguins they can push around to ease their struggles on the ice. There are plenty of hire skates also so you will be sorted upon arrival.  Do pick your day wisely though. Unfortunately the day we went it was raining. If it does happen to be wet weather on the day you choose to go, just pack some spare clothes as if you are unsteady on your feet, you will become a little more soaked then you probably intended.

Once you have finished you can then chill out inside with a hot beverage with mulled alcoholic options available. Maybe take the time to walk around the Palace itself and make a day of it!

Skating sessions run for 45 minutes. Ensure you arrive approximately 30 minutes before your session to allow time to get into your gear. I also recommend booking online to ensure a place. This event is running until the 7th of January 2018.
