Idris Elba Launches The Parrot in London’s West End

Hackney-born, Hollywood superstar Idris Elba will be opening his very own cocktail bar at the iconic Waldorf Hilton in London.
Co-founded by actor and DJ, Idris Elba and identical twin brothers Lee and Nicky Caulfield – the hottest new destination in London, ‘The Parrot’ will open this October.  Showcasing live music every night, the new venue will also feature its very own house band playing covers to popular tunes.

Visitors at the 60-seater bar expect to see a tropical themed décor, with a cocktail menu to match.  For those feeling peckish, there will be a menu of small plate dishes created by The Waldorf’s resident Executive Chef, Karl Richardson.

Idris’ new venture promises to bring unannounced secret A-List gigs to the city and boasts having its very own branded chauffeur-driven cars. What does this mean?  The Parrot has an exclusive partnership with Aston Martin allowing guests to arrive and leave in luxury cars branded with their logo ‘a gold parrot’. Whilst Idris is not the first celebrity to open a bar, it all sounds very cool and is bound to raise a few feathers within London’s West End Nightlife scene.
