Bankside Apartments Review

Accommodation is extremely important when travelling to a new destination,  you want to be in a trendy yet not over crowded place, which is close to bars and restaurants. When I travel I see the appeal for Airbnb and booking into serviced apartment, they are cosy and I feel more at home in them. Native Places offer boutique, chic apartments in the UK and in London they are situated in some of the most desired parts of London. I booked in a stay at the Native Bankside apartments, which is in a renovated tea warehouse, located in Bear Gardens with 75 gorgeous apartments. You can choose from a studio, one bed or two bed apartments. The apartment block houses a small gym on the top floor and also what they call the pantry on the mezzanine.

This is no small cupboard stocked full of out of date canned food. The pantry is a lounge on the mezzanine, where you can work with your laptop, use the free wi-fi and enjoy any of the food and drink they have in the cupboards and fridge. I’m talking unlimited Joe’s tea, biscuits, treats and cereal for the morning.

Yes there’s even a sweetie jar!

I stayed in a beautiful two bedroom apartment, on two floors with three bathrooms, equipped with travel size Elemis hair care and moisturiser (a welcoming surprise). Expect to see beautifully exposed brick walls, with stylish and modern furniture, creating a cosy yet chic apartment. The open plan living room and kitchen was a cute size and the king size bed was comfy, I had a great night sleep. I couldn’t help but wonder how amazing it would be to stay here long-term. The staff were friendly and welcoming, they were happy to answer any questions and nothing was too much trouble for them.

Although we had a kitchen, we decided to go out for dinner that night and explore the area. If you decide you would rather be out then cook in your swish kitchen, I would highly recommend Israeli cuisine at Bala Baya, you can read a review of my recent visit here – https://onin.london/bala-baya-review . While you’re outside make sure you take advantage of what’s around you. You have the popular foodie market: Borough market, The Tate Modern, The Southbank and much more!

Prices start at only £146 a night, which is great value for what you are getting! I’ve stayed in hotels in London which cost more and wasn’t this beautiful, plus having access to the Pantry was a big highlight! This place is a true treasure, so if you’re travelling to London and need a place to stay, this is a no brainer.
