Adagio has announced the launch of its second property in London, the flagship Aparthotel Adagio London Stratford. The aparthotel will be open from the 12 April for the exclusive use of key workers & essential stays, with the property welcoming leisure guests from 17 May in line with the government roadmap to ending lockdown.

Located in ‘the capital of the East’, the new build 4* Aparthotel Adagio London Stratford will provide round-the-clock serviced accommodation, with staff on hand 24/7, combined with the flexibility and freedom of 136 self-catering apartments.

The newly furnished apartments range from 100 two-person studios and 36 flats designed to accommodate up to four people, each boasting a fully equipped kitchen. Each apartment will feature the brand’s new “Urban Nest” concept, which aims to create a contemporary and functional design. The property will also serve as a pilot site of the brand’s new Digital Room Directory, where all customer needs and enquiries can be answered by scanning a QR Code, meaning no more paper.

The aparthotel’s architectural design was inspired by the industrial heritage of Stratford, with materials and detailing redolent of the railways. The aparthotel’s interiors continue this ethos, permeating a vibrant recognition of the area’s legacy. A youthful optimism was also incorporated into the design to reflect the rejuvenation of Stratford and the Olympic Park.

Residents at the aparthotel can enjoy the benefits of a range of services including the use of a private gym, a small on-site convenience store, library of objects, and make use of the hotel’s provided parking spaces. The aparthotel features “The Circle”, a friendly shared living space where guests can meet, socialise and get to know each other.

Situated in the heart of the cultural and commercial district of Stratford, the aparthotel is an ideal base for business travellers. It is within a close walking distance to the International Quarter London and a short commute to Canary Wharf, an international powerhouse of commerce and home to many of the capital’s core activities and businesses.

Stratford is one of the best-connected transport hubs in London, boasting unrivalled transport connections with a combination of Underground, Overground, Mainline and DLR services all available.

The area is also perfect for leisure guests, located just five minutes’ walk from the shoppers’ paradise that is Westfield Stratford City shopping centre, with its extensive range of shops, restaurants, luxury stores and entertainment facilities all under one roof.

There is an infinite number of things to do and see in Stratford including a visit to the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park; exploring the nearby neighbourhood of Hackney Wick, home to a major concentration of artists and studio spaces; take in a show at the award-winning Theatre Royal: slide down the world’s longest tunnel slide at The ArcelorMittal Orbit or check out a West Ham or Millwall football game – the list is endless!

Stratford is the sixth UK opening for Adagio, following launches in London Brentford, Leicester, Edinburgh, Birmingham, and Liverpool. There are also further openings planned in London with a Sutton property set to launch this summer.
