Koppaberg Gin Launch

Onin.London recently attended the launch of the Kopperberg Gin. The venue NT’s in London Fields was a great little rooftop terrace in a tucked away and perfect hideaway.

What to say about the new Kopperberg gin? Gin though? Yes, you read that right. Kopperberg is expanding their repertoire and exploring with gin. And to be honest, it’s a great call. They are launching with a strawberry and lime flavour, following on with the success with their cider of the same flavour. We love the cider, so easy to drink and the same can be said for the gin. You can tell that they’ve spent a lot of time creating this gin, not only considering the taste but also the pretty bottle that it comes in. After all, we do eat/drink with our eyes.

The great strawberry and lime flavour comes through beautiful and is balanced well against the juniper, lemon zest and coriander botanicals.

On the night guests sampled three different cocktails, The Perfect Serve which is served over ice with tonic or lemonade. Pink spritz which had grenadine and Prosecco (our favourite) and lastly Strawberry Blossom served as a martini with lychee juice Crème de Fraise. All drinks we feel were a little on the sweet side, but that made it all the more drinkable with a group of friends on a sunny terrace.
