Lanique Spirit of Rose – Review
After what seemed to be the longest month ever, I had reached the end of dry January and wanted to celebrate in style, taking the opportunity to open the bottle of Lanique Spirit of Rose I had been lustfully staring at with lust for the past week.
A beautiful ornate bottle filled with a vibrant pink liquid; Lanique Spirit of Rose is one of those bottles that looks great in your drinks cabinet. Accompanied by a booklet of cocktails to try, I opted to pair with my favourite bubbles and create a Lanique Rose Fizz. Super simple, you just top up a 25ml measure of the spirit with your choice of bubbles; whether that be champagne, cava or prosecco.
A distinctly unique flavour, the first taste I picked out was Turkish Delight, which was a delightful surprise for someone who loves them so much. Aromas of delicate rose, ripe raspberry and cherry, and white chocolate, this is the perfect option for someone with a sweet tooth. An instant way to revamp a drink I had drunk countless times, it offers a brand-new way to experience a classic. Giving bubbles a gorgeous pink tint, I can imagine it being great talking point when we can finally have people over for drinks again!
With Valentine’s Day coming up, there is also the option to pick up a bottle as a special gift, I would definitely choose The limited-edition Lanique Love Box, an extravagant gift box available for £95, which includes; a 50cl bottle of Lanique Spirit of Rose; a Blodau Bae ‘Be My Valentine’ bunch of dried flowers, two preserved rose, a handmade and hand-poured soy wax Zephryos candle from Opali London, and a box of three luxury Oh La La! macarons. The Lanique Love Box is available for free nationwide delivery exclusively from Lanique.co.uk
As the macarons are freshly made, all boxes will be delivered no earlier than four days before Valentine’s Day. Orders must be placed by 9th February.
Lanique Spirit of Rose is also available from Waitrose (on sale throughout February for £22, down from RRP of £27) or from Amazon.co.uk (70cl, RRP £26.84).
