Leicester Square Theatre: Slightly Fat Features Variety Soup – Review
It has been nearly 48 hours since witnessing the hair brained antics of the Slightly Fat Features troupe in Variety Soup and my tummy still hurts from the laugh out loud performance. From beginning to end the team had not only me but the whole audience in fits of hysterical laughter with the good old fashioned and just plain silly comedic acts.
The show opened with an introductory juggling performance involving three of the troupe members and eventually nine batons. The interaction between the three was hilarious turning a seemingly typical performance into a uniquely fantastical experience that I am sure is the reason for the success of the troupe
They put the unique ‘Slightly Fat Features’ stamp on all typical variety inclusions.
Tiger taming. Bullet catching. Dancing Horses. Original live music. Circus tricksters. Acrobatic Elephants. Astonishing human skills. Miniature cowboys. Sing-a-longs. A strange man who genuinely goes by the name of Treehead. Knife Throwing. Cling film escapology and piano playing Dogs.
The show was fun, interactive and left me with a warm feeling in my tummy….not just from the burn of my over worked abdominal muscles but because this is true family entertainment delivered with heart.
Thank you ‘Slightly Fat Feature’, a definite show to remember
VARIETYSOUP has something for the whole family to enjoy this Christmas find them at the Leicester Square Theatre from December 15th 2014 to January 4th 2015
