L’ETO Brompton Road: A New Chapter of Wholesome Indulgence and Festive Cheer in the Heart of London
L’ETO Caffe has long been synonymous with beautifully balanced dining and its newest opening on Brompton Road is no exception. Officially opening at 215 Brompton Road, L’ETO Brompton marks an exciting new chapter for one of London’s most beloved café destinations. I’ve been to a couple of L’ETO venues now as a guest for Onin.London and a paying customer and can honestly say it’s one of my favourite cafès.
Since its Soho debut in 2011, L’ETO has evolved into a capital-wide favourite, celebrated for its wholesome all-day menus, exquisite artisanal patisserie and showstopping occasion cakes. With locations spanning Belgravia, Covent Garden, Knightsbridge, Notting Hill and beyond, each branch offers its own personality while staying true to the brand’s philosophy of mindful dining and warm hospitality.
The Brompton Road location elevates the experience further. At its heart is a spacious bar paired with a distinctive micro garden, where fresh herbs and greens are grown on-site and cut to order for teas, drinks and dishes. This living garden brings a sense of calm vitality to the space which is a refreshing blend of nature and design that reflects L’ETO’s ethos of authenticity and harmony, echoed even in its name, inspired by French and Eastern European linguistic roots. Decorated for Christmas, the venue is beautiful and made a lovely venue for a catchup with one of my best friends and my twins.
To celebrate the opening, L’ETO introduced a refined selection of new beverages, including a luxurious miso hot chocolate, a smooth and aromatic hojicha latte, and a rejuvenating retinol tea, perfectly bridging wellness and indulgence. These sit alongside the café’s much-loved classics, making it just as appealing for a quick coffee as it is for a leisurely brunch or full-course meal paired with wine or cocktails.
As with all L’ETO locations, Brompton Road is dog-friendly, family-friendly and warmly welcoming, making it a natural haven for locals and a must-visit stop for visitors exploring the neighbourhood. Interiors combine neoclassical influences with modern finishes, creating an atmosphere that feels both refined and relaxed… ideal for lingering over patisserie or celebrating special moments. I will say, the addition of changing tables would be a welcome introduction as there was none available and this is something I’ve noticed in all L’ETO cafès.

Food and drink wise, I went with the gingerbread Matcha and my friend had the apple strudel latte. I had ordered the Iced Matcha but the hot one arrived and it was a welcome mixup, as it made the flavours shine! Our mains consisted of the Halloumi and Avocado Bagel and the Turkish Eggs with Basturma. Both dishes shone with fresh ingredients, perfectly cooked eggs and flavours that exploded on your taste buds.
Dessert though is where everything that is wrong in the world was righted with my first bite of their glorious Basque Cheesecake! Please never stop selling it! It’s my favourite and I’m still wishing I’d bought an extra slice to bring home for the next day. It’s phenomenal in my books. My friend enjoyed her cherry chocolate cake which she did box up half to share with her husband knowing he’d enjoy it just as much but there was no sharing for me!
Beyond its in-café experience, L’ETO continues to shine with bespoke catering services and made-to-order occasion cakes, available online which is perfect for everything from corporate lunches to milestone celebrations. Now if only they’d deliver to me, I’d be one happy girl but then maybe it’s a good thing because a weekly basque cheesecake probably isn’t good for the waistline.
Adding to the excitement, L’ETO also unveils its 2025 festive range, a nostalgic and indulgent winter collection filled with handcrafted patisserie and luxurious seasonal drinks. Highlights include the whimsical Rafaello Snowman, rich Ferrero Chocolate Tart, vibrant Clementine Chocolate Cake, and delicately festive Frozen Red Velvet, alongside beautifully spiced gingerbread cookies. Winter beverages steal the spotlight too, from the smoky Caramel & Miso Smoked Hot Chocolate to the indulgent Pistachio & Kunafa White Hot Chocolate and comforting seasonal lattes and teas.
Whether you’re stopping by after a day of shopping, planning a festive catch-up, or simply craving a moment of calm indulgence, L’ETO Brompton Road offers a beautifully curated escape… one that nourishes the body, uplifts the mood and celebrates everyday wellbeing.
