Magna Carta Holy Grail: Review
The famous record producer, artist, and 40/40 club owner has done it again. Within a few minutes of the release date July 4th, the talks kept social media buzzing, laptop’s crashing, and house parties popping. “Jigga”, most commonly known as Jay Z, gives us sixteen tracks of pure perfection. As I cheekily listen to Tom Ford on one of the many leaked pages of the album, I experience a familiar voice, with such beautiful sound. Shortly before this I browsed on YouTube to watch the Samsung advert with over twenty million views and promoting the talked about Magna Carter Holy Grail, the album with the likes and help of legends such as Rick Rubin, producers Timbaland and Swizz Beats, and Billionaire Boys Club owner and singer Pharrell.
In the two minute clip sponsored by Samsung, we see Mr Carter in studio mode, bringing us a bit closer into his vision of his 2013 masterpiece. His extensive work in this album also includes songs featuring the power wife Beyonce Knowles, Rick Ross, Nas, Justin Timberlake, Frank Ocean, and others.
Jay Z will forever have a strong and committed fan base. Listening to one song eventually turns into listening to the whole album throughout the day. His music, flow, intelligence and truth in lyrics and vision is the reason why we just can’t seem to get enough of this classy genius. Take a bow Mr Carter.
