Your Chance to Win a Limited Edition Japanese Football Shirt

To celebrate both Japan’s World Cup journey and Marugame Udon’s fifth birthday in the UK, the Japanese restaurant group has partnered with acclaimed textile artist Nicole Chui to create a one-of-a-kind collector’s piece inspired by one of the nation’s most iconic football shirts.

Reimagining Japan’s legendary 1998 World Cup kit, Chui has painstakingly transformed the jersey through her signature hand embroidery, turning a piece of sporting history into wearable art. Rather than producing multiple prizes, Marugame Udon has chosen to create a single exclusive piece, giving one lucky fan the chance to own an original work celebrating Japanese culture, craftsmanship and football heritage.

The limited-edition collaboration launches as World Cup fever continues to build, with the competition opening this Friday. Fans will have one week to enter via the Marugame Udon website before one winner is selected on Friday 3 July.

The collaboration forms part of Marugame Udon’s fifth birthday celebrations, bringing together two pillars of Japanese identity – world-class craftsmanship and a passion for football – in a campaign designed to celebrate the culture that inspires the brand every day.
