Moore House Cocktail Company Review
One of the things I have actually enjoyed about the lockdown period, was companies like the Moore House Cocktail Company developing cocktail kits for people to make at home. We were sent the new range of the Classic Martini (London Dry Gin, a dash of vermouth – ABV 31%), a Cristal Margarita (premium Silver Tequila, Cointreau, citrus – ABV 33%), ready to be shaken and poured into a salt rimmed glass and garnished with a slice of lime; and an Old Fashioned (premium bourbon, muddled cane sugar, Angostura bitters – ABV 36%).
Opening the box when it arrived was an exciting moment, as it was so beautifully packaged. It was almost a shame to open it. The three 100ml bottles are retailed at £29.00 come with a complimentary cocktail shaker. For someone who loves cocktails and has a large alcohol collection, I don’t actually own a proper cocktail shaker like the one in this kit.
Moore House Cocktail Company told us all their cocktails are handcrafted using only the highest quality ingredients and are available in a generous single 100ml bottle serving (from £9.60) or 200ml bottles, which easily provide three cocktails (from £16). All you need is your favourite glass and ice as the shaker and the garnish is provided in the kit. We found the 100ml bottles did make two small cocktails if you’re willing to share. Lucky for my friend… I was.
The cocktails all tasted delicious and fresh, though my favourite was definitely the margarita. Since coming back from America in February, I’ve been loving the tartness of these drinks and it’s a pleasure to be able to find a pre-mix one which doesn’t taste artificial and takes me back to sunny days in Florida.
As already mentioned, three 100ml bottles cost £29 and three 200ml bottles cost £48. The Martini, Old Fashioned and the Magarita are a welcome addition to the existing pre-bottled range which includes an Espresso Martini, Negroni and Manhattan.All products can be purchased for nationwide UK delivery via the Moore House Cocktail Company online shop – www.moorehousecocktails.co.uk.
