National Burger Day at The Bountiful Cow
Happy National Burger Day!
To celebrate this glorious occasion, ONIN headed over to Holborn’s beloved steak pub, The Bountiful Cow, to sink our teeth into one of their special burgers—and wow, did they deliver.
I love a good Sunday roast, so I went for The Full Carvery Burger, which came highly recommended by the staff. Imagine this: a juicy beef patty, crispy streaky bacon, roast potatoes, and seasonal veg—all sandwiched between two golden Yorkshire pudding buns. Yes, you read that right. Yorkshire pudding buns.
Since no roast is complete without gravy, they served it with a jug of rich house gravy on the side. I started off bravely with my hands, but the gravy worked its magic a little too well and the Yorkshire began to fall apart—so I switched to knife and fork. No regrets.
This limited-edition burger is made entirely in-house and really captures what The Bountiful Cow is all about: top-quality meat, a playful twist, and a whole lot of heart. The portion was generous, and I left feeling full and happy. Pro tip: pair it with a glass of their house red for the ultimate comfort meal.
It’s priced at £20 and only available for one week—from Thursday 28 August to Wednesday 3 September—so don’t miss out.

Also on the menu for National Burger Day was their signature Bounty Burger, which came with a cheeky buy-one-get-one-for-1p deal running all day on Thursday 28th. Made fresh daily from hand-ground steak mince, it’s stacked with crisp lettuce, tomato, onion, gherkin, and their homemade garlic mayo. Don’t worry if you missed out today, this burger is a regular menu item, priced at £17.95.
