“The closest thing to a festival like Secret Garden Party or Burning Man” – TIME OUT
“To keep Rumpus a secret would be to go against all that makes it special” – RUN RIOT

The summer’s over but the party’s just getting started! Wherever their travels have taken them over the break, all Creatures great and glittery will coalesce come October 2nd for quite literally the biggest party of the year. Rumpus is filling 11 rooms with 9 live bands, over 20 DJs and a whole host of performance, happenings and interactive spectaculars, Rumpus brings you the best of every festival experience all rammed into one intoxicating night of unparalleled proportions!

Renowned for an extravagant abundance of live music, this Rumpus is no exception, featuring mega-folk maestros The Destroyers, and the barons of Balkan Gypsy Hill, amongst a whole host of underground and upcoming bands handpicked from this fair isle and further afield to make your shimmy shake and your quiver quake. On the decks, a formidable figure in UK dance music, Deekline will be pumping out the bassbin-shaking bravado he’s become internationally famous for. And with over 20 other DJs spinning everything from Jungle to Electroswing all night long there’s a beat for every creature in this sonic cornucopia!

The grandiose setting of the Coronet Theatre is the perfect place for Rumpus to run wild amidst the ruins of the worlds fallen empires. On the towering main stage be bedazzled by The Rumpus Circus! An explosive extravaganza of whip crackers, stilt walkers, hoops spinners and aerial acrobats performing daredevil feats featuring fire, pyrotechnics and spectacular scenes adding marvel to the madness. There’s a venue-wide treasure hunt – partygoers will have to complete a series of weird and whimsical challenges to collect all 8 pieces of the mighty and majestic Rumpus Amulet! Meanwhile up in the opulent balcony cinema of the main arena, Silly Ideas Factory presents: Rage of Empires – enter the digitization booth to create your avatar and upload yourself in to the mainframe to play live on the big screen; choose a quest and run for your life like it’s 1985!

Out in the bustling alleyway lies The Arches, featuring the Rumpus Art Exhibition complete with the mighty clash of the Live Art Battle, and the pencil-powered Victorian Photobooth for on-the-spot anachronistic portraiture, the Food Bazaar for all your victuals, vittles and visceral needs; the Wonderland soundsystem, and our very own secret speakeasy the Travelling Tavern. For this event the Tavern are teaming up with esteemed purveyors of all things vintage, Rockit. Take a step back into an age beyond time for the best in live jazz, blues and worldly exotica downstairs, while upstairs Rockit presents an immersive emporium of clothing, costumes and accessories for your perusal and curious cabaret for your bemusal.

There’s no other night quite like it. Eleven unique rooms of music and madness, more than 200 eclectic performers and over 2000 revelers with a penchant for partying and a creative flare rarely found this far from Burning Man; it has to be seen to be believed…see you on the dancefloor!
