The Hub by Premier Inn Covent Garden Review

Over the years we’ve stayed in many Premier Inn hotels, whenever we need an over night stay somewhere we tend to pick a Premier Inn and that’s with or without children. The latest hotel we stayed in was a bit different from the usual ones, this was The Hub by Premier Inn.

This hotel is not for families and is designed for young couples. This was perfect for us, it’s situated in Covent Garden and a stone throw from Leicester Square so would be ideal if you are off to the theatre.

When you walk into the hotel you are greeted with a selection of self-service check in screens which are easy to navigate. There is around 100 rooms spread over 7 floors and they aren’t as large as a regular Premier Inn room but they aren’t designed to be a place to spend the day.

The room has everything you need and uses all available space so the bed has storage drawers underneath, the bathroom has a shower instead of a bath and the mirror doubles up a small hanging area. There is a massive 40″ smart TV in the room and you also have charging points and USB ports in the room.

Also in the room is a control panel which allows you to control the lighting, temperature and also set things like ‘Do Not Disturb’ which displays outside the room.

Throughout the hotel you get free Wi-Fi which is always welcome especially as there is a hub app which allows you to change the TV channel, control the lighting and much more.

Instead of a normal restaurant they have a snazzy deli where you can get all kinds of pastries, drinks and grilled sandwiches. It has a younger feel to it and we really liked this concept. It might not be to everyone’s taste but to us it was a more relaxed environment. Breakfast is served in here too and it comes in the form of a breakfast box with the idea that if in a rush you could take it with you.

Our overall impression was that it had a younger feel to it and we liked the set up, having spoken to Premier Inn they do have plans to open more of this style hotel in the future with two more planned in London.

We were gifted this stay for the purpose of this post, all thoughts and opinions are our own.
