Paul Mitchell Awapuhi Wild Ginger Haircare Range

I have had the pleasure of trying the Awapuhi Wild Ginger haircare range from Paul Mitchell. Quite honestly, I hadn’t previously come across these products before, but was intrigued to discover what they had to offer.

Moisturizing Lather Shampoo

As you might expect (or at least hope) from the name, this shampoo lathers beautifully and with ease, much more so than any other shampoo I have previously tried. It has a rich, thick consistency with a contrasting light but almost earthy scent. It is 100% sulphate-free, paraben-free and safe for coloured hair, whilst boasting the ability to hydrate, protect and repair brittle hair. Although fairly pricey, the quality is close to perfect, and I now understand why it has won so many beauty awards.

Paul Mitchell Awapuhi Wild Ginger Moisturizing Lather Shampoo costs £17.95 for 250ml or £43.95 for 1 litre.

Keratin Cream Rinse

Keratin Cream Rinse is a hair conditioner which strengthens and protects the hair. It helps to detangle and add shine for health-looking hair. This conditioner doesn’t feel particularly thick at first, but only a small amount is needed to coat long hair. It appears to replenish the hair beautifully, and my hair feeling light and silky without the need for any leave-in oils.

Paul Mitchell Awapuhi Wild Ginger Keratin Cream Rinse costs £19.95 for 250ml or £48.95 for 1 litre.

Texturizing Sea Salt

Salt sprays are products I tend to ignore during the winter, and over-use during the summer – especially whilst I’m on holiday. They are perfect for creating natural-looking beachy waves with minimum effort and without having to use heat products. Paul Mitchell Awapuhi Wild Ginger Texturizing Sea Salt is perfect for adding volume and texture to the hair, which makes it a very handy tool for creating messy buns. I have also been using it on a half-up-half-down look, to add volume to the ‘down’ part of my hair. This sea salt works perfectly without causing the hair to feel sticky, and seems to last all day without reapplication. To apply, spritz onto damp or dry hair and scrunch your hair to create waves.

Paul Mitchell Awapuhi Wild Ginger Texturizing Sea Salt costs £19.95 for 150ml.
