
Revel Puck’s Winter Festival comes to Walthamstow for Christmas
Revel Puck’s Winter Festival will take over Walthamstow’s Fellowship Square from 12th December to 5th January The festival will include a festive Spiegeltent offering live circus entertainment for adults and children, feature food from local vendors and a cozy indoor bar stocked with warming winter favorites.
East London born The Revel Puck Circus’s lavish Spiegeltent will host two circus shows throughout the holiday season: ‘The Ugly Duckling: A Circus Story ‘ and ‘The Ruckus’.
‘The Ugly Duckling: A Circus Story’ is a reimagining of the classic fairy tale for children and families. Itbrings together the best of circus and storytelling to produce an energetic and hilarious yet heartwarming family-friendly experience. This original production is Revel Puck’s newest creation and premieres at the Winter Festival.
‘The Ruckus’ is a celebratory circus show led by a cast of female performers, suitable for the whole family. It’s an acrobatic, aerial spectacular full of punk spirit, all within Revel Pucks’ signature welcoming and cheeky atmosphere. Last performed on New Year’s Day this year in Walthamstow, this reimagined version stars acrobatic clown Arielle Lauzon, renowned for her mesh of floor acrobatics and clowning ability. She is joined by talented circus performers Jackie Le, Ash Meyer, Kasyema Mulinge and Becky Robins.
The Revel Puck Circus is a circus company that creates fresh, contemporary circus for new audiences. Founded in East London, Revel Pucks is a young and dynamic company, striving to do and see circus differently. Artistic Director of The Revel Puck Circus, Luke Hallgarten said “Revel Pucks was born in Waltham Forest, and we’re overjoyed to be coming home this Winter to share moments of joy and connection with our community”.
The festival, supported by Waltham Forest Council is open from 12th December to 5th January with daytime and evening performances as well as special performances on Christmas Eve, New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day.
The Ugly Duckling runs until 5th January. On 14th January the performances are 10:30 and 1:30pm and from 15th January they are 11am and 2pm. Tickets from £10-18.
The Ruckus also runs until 5th January. On 12th and 13th January there is only a 7:30pm performance but from 14th December Theresa 4pm and 7:30pm show. Tickets from £10.50.
