Spritz o’ clock with Fentimans

Tucked away in Farringdon, Londoners are invited to visit Fentimans’ Secret Spritz Garden, a hideaway filled with aromatic plants and of course Fentimans spritz cocktails.

Open for just three weeks in August, this oasis for after work drinks features a 200-year-old olive tree; providing a beautiful shaded spot to sit under. Spritz in hand, you’ll also find a romantic swing seat, trailed with jasmine, along with a babbling lemon-filled fountain. On specific evenings, to help you get into the summer groove, there will also be mellow acoustic music and live jazz.

For the occasion, attendees will also be able to enjoy a specially curated drinks menu by cocktail expert Dino Koletsas to inspire Londoners to get creative with spritz-making at home this August.

The Spritz Garden menu will explore the full range of Fentimans tonics – from the sweet citrus of Valencian Orange to the candied notes of Pink Rhubarb – which will be complemented by homemade herbal infusions and liqueurs, fresh fruit and exquisite aperitifs.

In line with recent trends, these drinks move away from the traditional wines and instead showcase naturally flavoured tonic waters, championing British ingredients and give a nnod to the growing popularity of lighter low-alcohol cocktails.

Throughout the month, the Spritz Garden will play host to a series of masterclasses, including spritz making, floristry, flower pressing, Limoncello making and collage workshops.

The pop-up Secret Spritz Garden will be open from 7th August – 30th August from Wednesday to Saturday (5-11pm), including the Sunday (12-11pm) of the bank holiday weekend.

Address: St John’s Cloister Garden, St John’s Lane, Clerkenwell, London, EC1M 4DA.
