Step Back in Time with England Originals

If you’re looking for something a little bit different to do in England, then we might have just the thing. For the first time, 15 of England’s top-ranked historic cities, including the Capital, have come together as England Originals from England’s Historic Cities and have unveiled five intriguing itineraries with a twist. Working with Jonathan Foyle, these itineraries include uncovered stories from each location, bringing the characters and events to life through technology.

You can either go with their pre-built packages, or build your own according to your interests and preferences, and each tour has a carefully constructed theme.

From the Thinkers and Writers Tour, which visits Oxford Worcester and Stratford Upon Avon where you can expect to discover the origins of Alice in Wonderland by Lewis Carroll; the Time Travellers Tour, which takes you to Greenwich, Canterbury and Cambridge where you can take a selfie on the historic Prime Meridian Line. The Treasure Trove Tour which journeys through the reconstructed Viking streets whilst taking you to Durham, York and Lincoln. The Wall to Wall Tour which enables you to explore the oldest, longest and most complete city wall in England whilst visiting Chester, Lancaster and Carlisle; and expect to discover the origin of the famous pasty during the Western Wonders Tour which visits Truro, Bath and Salisbury.

Those beginning or ending their visit in London are encouraged to explore the City of London and it’s vast history dating back to the Romans, which is now home to many iconic sights including St Paul’s Cathedral and its intriguing Whispering Gallery.

You can even book transport and accommodation through the England Originals website, to make the whole thing super seamless and easy.
