The Sushi Shop grows its sushi empire

If you haven’t already had the chance to try the the premium Sushi phenomenon which is The Sushi Shop, there is now one more reason to get yourself down there, with the group planning to open more venues this year.

With existing shops in Marylebone, South Kensington and Notting Hill, the brand, established by two French entrepreneurs in 1998, recently opened a brand new store in Hampstead, growing their sushi empire to over 130 shops globally. Known for it’s high quality, made-to-order sushi, the premium high street brand continually strives for product innovation, regularly collaborating with leading chefs (Joel Robuchon, Kei Kobayashi) and creatives (Kenzo, Kate Moss, Scott Campbell) to continue to delight thier customers.

Being one of those annoying sushi lovers who doesn’t actually eat fish, I decided to test the team by sampling their fish and meat free options. Opting for a home delivery straight to my office, I went with the avocado and cheese rolls, cucumber and cheese tulips (minus the fish) and cucumber and cheese rolls. So fresh they genuinely tasted like they had been made to order, the cucumber and cheese tulip was like sushi I had never tasted before, with a creamy cheese texture and a delicate cucumber wrap.

Next year can we see a couple of new shops in Dalston please!
