The Emerald Isle Comes To Selfridges

This month head to Selfridges Foodhall in London and immersive yourself in the Taste of the Emerald Isles. The Bord Bia, the Irish Food Board has teamed up with Selfridges to provide an irresistible opportunity for food lovers to tempt their taste buds with all the flavours of Ireland.

The eight week campaign will see the launch of over 50 new Irish brands from household names to the finest artisan producers. They’ll also be on hand to who will share their skills, knowledge and, above all, their love of good food.

Selfridges Foodhall will offer the chance to meet dedicated producers from all over Ireland and customers will be able to sample brands such as McCambridge Irish Wholewheat Bread, Lismore Biscuits, Cooleeney cheese, St.Tola Goats cheese, Burren Smokehouse Salmon, and many, many more.

Selfridges will also host a number of tasting evenings in September in the London Foodhall and two dinners curated in partnership with Bord Bia, as well as a Gin and Oyster evening.

Ireland’s best culinary talent dinner, hosted by Clodagh McKenna

An evening of delicious Irish dishes, prepared by five of Ireland’s best culinary talents; Louise Bannon, Killian Crowley, Grainne O’Keefe, Mike Thompson and Aoife Noonan. The evening will be hosted by Irish chef Clodagh McKenna, and each chef will be preparing one of the four courses, petit fours or canapés.Expect extraordinary flavours and a glass of Champagne on arrival.

Carlingford Oyster and Glendalough Gin tasting evening, hosted by Simon Lamont

Date: 11th September, 6.30-9.00pm

Where: Harry Gordon’s Bar & Kitchen on LG

Cost: £30 p/p, of which £10 is redeemable in the Wine Shop on the evening

Come and enjoy a three-course Irish oyster tasting menu, with each course paired with a delicious Irish gin. The evening will be hosted by Simon Lamont, a renowned London-based Irish chef.
Ballymaloe Cookery School dinner, hosted by Rory O’Connell and JR Ryall

Date: 17th September, 6.30-9.00pm

Cost: £60 p/p

Join Rory O’Connell, one of Ireland’s most experienced cookery teachers and co-founder of the Ballymaloe Cookery School, and JR Ryall, one of Ballymaloe’s dessert chefs, for an evening of great Irish tastes and extraordinary culinary experiences.
