The Old Shoreditch Station – No lie, the best Mumbai Chai!

While trundling down from Hackney to London Bridge I decided a sugar slump pit stop was needed, and with the internet not playing ball I had to go with my instinct in choosing a coffee shack.

Close to reaching desperation (I get indecisive when I am hungry!) I was lucky enough to pass The Old Shoreditch Station, with a rather homely interior I took my chances and popped in. I opted for a dense banana and toffee muffin and teamed this with a Mumbai Railway chai latte. The muffin was so so, a little dry but hit the spot, however the Mumbai chai was awesome! A creamy chai latte with really intense warming flavour, sprinkled with chocolate and cinnamon it was well worth the trip. Oh and the waiting staff were really quite cool too!

Plus without realising it I had inadvertently stumbled upon quite a groovy pop up exhibition space; airy, bright and a bar. Sadly it was only 12pm I wasn’t quite ready for a tipple however the rentable space will be kept in my book for future reference!
