The Quay Players Musical Theatre Perform Cinderella This December

The Quay Players Musical Theatre are performing Cinderella the pantomime between the 19th-21st of December at the Greenwood Theatre in Southwark, London.

‘This fun filled panto has everything and more for adults and children alike. For a magical evening of entertainment, and with a special cameo from Santa and his Elf, it’s sure to get you in the Christmas spirit!’, commented co-director, Julianne Palmer.

A familiar tale with a modern twist, our pantomime tells the story of a girl named Cinderella and her adventures in the charming town of Bromley.

Cinderella is lucky have lots of friends: Buttons the delivery person, Wellington the cat, and of course, all the little mice who live in the scullery where she spends most of her time. Unfortunately, her family isn’t quite so nice. Her two sisters – Dolce and Gabbana – pick on her, egged on by their mother – the wicked Lady Prada – whose only ambition in life is to marry off one of her daughters to royalty. But things are about to change for Cinderella when she meets Prince Russell of Bromley and his loyal, shoe-loving buddy, Jimmy Choo. However, forCinderella and Prince Russell, all is not as it seems, and even Cinderella’s Fairy Godmother can’t magic up the perfecting ending by herself. Will Cinderella’s happily ever after begin when the glass slipper fits? All will be revealed after the clock strikes midnight.

Co-director, Shamini Bundell continued, “This story isn’t just about shoes. At its heart is a tale of sisterhood, parent-child relationships, and the value of standing up for yourself. That and a lot of shoe puns. I’m really sorry about all the shoe puns. We set out to combine traditional panto with modern musical theatre tropes, mixing heart and humour to entertain adults and children alike. So, if you like your fairy tales with a bit of a twist, this is the show for you.”

Featuring a host of well-known characters, a selection of fabulous songs and some classic panto comedy, this is a show for all of the family!
