The Twelve Rebuilds of Christmas: A LEGO Christmas at The Savoy

Looking for festive activities? Join the Savoy hotel in celebrating the Holiday season with their newly revealed LEGO creations, all for a good cause!

I visited the Savoy to explore their winter wonderland and was welcomed into the fire-lit foyer by a group of carol singers showcasing LEGO’s rewritten version of the classic ‘12 Days of Christmas.’ This song, reimagined through the eyes of a child, informs the theme of the decorations adorning the inviting lobby, which include a Dragon Shaped Christmas Tree and a Princess Rocket Castle.

These impressive creations perfectly showcase the focus LEGO and the Savoy are placing on imagination and creativity, and some of the instillations are made up of up to 150,000 bricks, taking an impressive 2,200 man hours in total.

This collaboration is a part of LEGO’s ‘Rebuild the World’ campaign, promoting the importance of creativity in the 21st century. In the spirit of this, visitors have the opportunity to build a festive decoration and for each one made, LEGO will match and donate a set to a child in need: all you need to do is share the creation on social media with the hashtag #BuildToGive!

These incredible LEGO creations are on display in London’s renowned Savoy Hotel until 3rd January 2020, and there are several special workshops on Sunday 1st and Sunday 15th December, making perfect Holiday activities.
