The Winter Garden Review

I’m always looking for places to go with my other half for a special date night and The Winter Garden at The Landmark London has gone straight to the top of my list.

As we walked into the hotel, we were welcomed by the gorgeous atrium area, complete with palm trees, mood lighting and a singer on the grand piano. We were shown to our table and something about the vibe made us feel like we were on holiday!

We started with a cocktail each – a refreshing Berry Mojito and a Lychee Martini – whilst we decided on our starters. I ended up ordering the Seabass Ceviche and my OH had the Lobster. Both dishes were presented beautifully and my OH had never had lobster before, and said it was delicious! The ceviche was also extremely light and packed full of flavour.

We were eyeing up the Beef Wellington for 2 before we even arrived, so it was a no-brainer when it came to ordering our mains – and it definitely didn’t disappoint! The beef was cooked perfectly and the pastry was crisp (no soggy bottom!). It was served with a smooth jus, some veg and the creamiest mashed potato. Their menu suggests it’s a 45 minute wait for the beef wellington and I have to say, it was definitely worth the wait.

Whilst I don’t usually have space for dessert, I had to make an exception as they all sounded so tempting. We decided to share the Chocolate Orange Mousse and a part of me was disappointed I didn’t have one to myself; it was so tasty and light!

Overall we had a really amazing experience at The Winter Garden – the perfect spot for some quality time with my OH!

The Winter Garden is perfect for couples looking for somewhere romantic to go (put it on your list for Valentine’s Day!) or to celebrate a special occasion with family or friends.
