London’s Smallest Wine Bar with Big Charm
I have to admit, I fell a little bit in love with Tiny Wine the moment I walked in. At just 200 square feet, it’s the smallest wine bar in London, but it has more heart and soul than places five times the size. Tucked away at 21 Foley Street, on the corner of two quiet Fitzrovian streets but still within strolling distance of Soho and Oxford Circus, it feels like you’ve stumbled on a bit of a neighbourhood secret.
The team behind it – Maria Yanez and Carlos Socorro, the duo behind Crudo Cocina Latina, have managed to bottle up Latin American warmth and poured it into this snug little corner of London. You step through the door and you’re instantly greeted with easy smiles, the low hum of conversation, and soft Latin beats that make the whole place feel like a home away from home with a warm Spanish auntie in the kitchen. This is the sort of spot where you pop in for “just one glass” and, three hours later, find yourself deep in conversation with strangers at the sociable counter seating.

Speaking of wine, the list is small but mighty, about 50 bottles, almost all natural or low-intervention, from small producers who are clearly chosen with care. There’s a mix of the familiar and new, so whether you want a classic you already love or something completely undiscovered, you’re in safe hands. I loved how approachable it all felt, no lengthy lectures or intimidating jargon, just genuine enthusiasm from people who clearly enjoy what they do. I also can’t not mention the cocktails: equally as good as the wine.
Food-wise, they may have the world’s smallest kitchen, so it’s sharing plates all the way, with a Latin American twist that pairs perfectly with the wine. I started with a pickly gilda, and had to order another. The mixto ceviche was fresh, tangy and vibrant, and the Cubanito sandwich (pulled pork, honey ham, cheese, Dijon mustard and pickles) sounded incredible – I’ll have to go back for that one.
The space itself is beautifully thought out: textured walls, soft arches, and just enough room to feel cosy without feeling cramped. There’s seating for 22 upstairs, a few al fresco tables outside for when Fitzrovia is bathed in evening light, and even a “Secret Room” downstairs for private gatherings.
Tiny Wine might be tiny in size, but it’s big on everything that matters, personality, flavour, and atmosphere. It’s the kind of place you don’t just visit once, you go back again and again.
