The Cavendish London Review
Prior to the last lockdown, Onin.London stayed at the gorgeous The Cavendish London.
The deluxe four-star hotel managed by The Ascott Limited, member of CapitaLand and is located in the heart of Mayfair, on prestigious Jermyn Street. It is a stone’s throw from some of London’s most famous hotspots, including Piccadilly Circus, Buckingham Palace, Regent Street, Oxford Street and The West End theatres. Which we took full advantage of when we stayed.
After checking into our room, we were treated to a delicious Afternoon Tea with free flowing bubbles. The current afternoon tea is different from when we stayed as it’s currently Rosa’s Afternoon Tea, a brand-new offering inspired by The Queen of Cooks herself, Rosa Lewis.
Rosa’s Afternoon Tea celebrates Rosa Lewis’ contribution to The Cavendish and to London. It features classic Afternoon Tea staples with a contemporary twist alongside the finest Champagne. NV Brut Baron De Marck Gobillard. Expect sandwiches with Rare roast beef, horseradish mayonnaise & watercress, Hot smoked salmon, chive, cream cheese, creme fraiche & pickled cucumber, Prawn cocktail, marie rose & lemon and more! The sweet treats include Chocolate Eclairs, melon sorbet and passionfruit and of course Buttermilk fruit and plain scones with Cornish clotted cream and Wild strawberry jam.
Rosa’s Afternoon Tea is available every day from 2pm-5pm for £45 per person or £60 per person with a glass of Champagne or guests can get Rosa’s Afternoon Tea for two and a bottle of Champagne for £120, the perfect option for a celebration. The menu can also be adapted for vegetarian, vegan and gluten free dietary requirements.
Guests will need to book ahead for Rosa’s Afternoon Tea by visiting The Cavendish Hotel website or calling 020 7930 2111.

The hotel has also open a new restaurant, the Mayfair Lounge and Grill, which will sure delight guests and diners as it is offering a culinary masterclass of flavour, delightfulness, and sophistication with our curated menu from the seasons of nature. The ‘London Smoke’ salmon and Lobster Thermidor sound amazing!
Our room was absolutely beautiful and we had an amazing nights sleep before having to leave for the day. We were incredibly spoilt by the hotel during our stay with lovely gifts being left for us in our room. They generously provided a candle and tea and biscuits from Fortnum and Mason which was a really sweet touch.
Rooms start at £137 a night and there is currently a special on if you stay 3 nights you save 20%. The perfect excuse to book that staycation now!
