Twenty Something London: Rooftop Brewing @ Netil360

imageOur friends at Twenty Something London (TSL) have put on some ace events including food frenzies and festivals. However this time beer was the name of the game atop of Hackney’s shabby chic Netil360.

The one thing every outdoor event dreads is a bucket load of rain, but TSL’s rooftop brewing was a cracking success regardless of the morning downpour!

After a Saturday morning hangover we decided to head over late afternoon to fill our stomachs, watch the football and wet our whistle with a couple of cocktails in a ‘hair of the dog’ manoeuvre. It was the best thing for us, delicious eggy chorizo-ness courtesy of Hot Skillet and a meaty bap from Turner and Roast. Although I was rather sad that Yolk had sold out of their scotch eggs, they looked divine and I was left pining after the egg belonging to a lady in front of me.

imageWe teamed our nosh with a couple of beer infused cocktails. My friend is savory savvy and opted for the Bloody Mary, a tangy tomatoey little beastie. Mine consisted of rum and lots of it! Both were served to us by a chirpy Barchick mixologist who obviously loved her job! We sat outside and sipped merrily while a couple of chums slurped Signatures Brew’s beers, and all shouted at the World Cup on the big screen. (We were outnumbered as we cheered for the underdogs GO COSTA RICA!)

As afternoon turned to dusk the view over the city descended into darkness. The view was amazing and spanned over East London and beyond, the perfect way to spend a moochy Saturday night.

The whole evening was a fun and relaxed rooftop chill. Cracking food, ambient tunes (courtesy of Djanglo and Alfresco Disco!) and great company what more could you want?
