V Nights Review

London has always maintained its ability to provide spaces that cater for all audiences and ‘Vegan Night’ did not disappoint; on an unusually warm British summer evening, with hundreds of friendly faces gathered in one space, enjoying great food, networking, whilst the sounds of live PA’s compliment the background, it turned out to be quite an electrifying evening.

With the perception of Veganism changing, Vegan food has become more accessible for those who simply want to eat healthier and this was proven by the number of attendees who weren’t Vegan.

There was an overwhelming choice of plant-based food, over 15 food and drink vendors, from West Indian, Chinese to Turkish Kebabs, and as much as I can appreciate the variety of fast food Vegan alternatives, there wasn’t a salad in sight! Which was slightly disappointing, as I was mostly looking forward to discovering new dishes to re-create at home.

Another great aspect to the event was the space they allocated for local principle-led clothing companies to showcase their latest range of merch; so not only can you indulge in healthy plant-based foods, but you can also shop sustainably too.

My only objectection was the lack of support staff, the size of the venue, and the queue lengths. I eventually had to wait 40 minutes for my meal, but others boasted waiting times of up to 1hour and a half. I was anticipating sampling an exclusive meal from CookDaily but had to opt for a second choice. However, because of this, I discovered a new-found love for Turkish Vegan Kebabs. Other than that, the entire evening was remarkable, and I will be attending the next one.
