Diwali is just around the corner (20th October) so we wanted to share some of London’s restaurants offering special dishes and offers for the festival of light.
Fatt Pundit
Fatt Pundit will be treating diners at both their Soho and Covent Garden restaurants to complimentary traditional Indian sweets (Kaju Katli) and warming Saffron Masala Chai at the end of their meal. Kaju Katli also known as Kaju Barfi are a traditional melt-in-your-mouth cashew nut delicacy, a staple of Diwali, symbolising good fortune, happiness, and prosperity.

KOKUM, East Dulwich
Celebrate Diwali in style at KOKUM, one of London’s most talked about Indian restaurants since its launch in July 2023. Located in East Dulwich, KOKUM is marking the festival with a limited-edition menu of festive specials available from 14th to 19th October, including dishes like Mussels Moilee, Kiwi Pani Puri, and Lamb Boti Kebaba with Guava Chaat. To sweeten the celebrations, guests dining on Sunday 19th October will receive a complimentary piece of freshly made barfi, a traditional Indian sweet.

Join Michelin recognised and Modern Indian restaurant, Farzi London, for an all you can eat extravaganza Diwali Special Sunday Brunch celebration on 19th October, 12-5pm for £40 per person. Featuring a delicious buffet of dishes from Paneer Shahi to Chicken Rizala Kebab, Mutton Badami Korma, Prawn Moli and Beetroot & Paneer Curry, there will also be live cooking stations such as a vibrant Chaat Counter, Pani Puri as well as a dessert buffet featuring assorted Mithai and Diwali specials. The Diwali celebratory brunch will also have live music and entertainment, henna and face painting for all of the family to enjoy. In the evening, a Special Diwali Thali menu will also be available.

At Chook Chook this year’s Diwali festivities are centred around the vibrant flavours of an authentic Indian Thali. Available in both vegetarian and chicken options, each thali brings together a delicious array of dishes from rich curries and aromatic biryanis to fresh raita, naan, and indulgent Gulab Jamun served with a refreshing Mango Lassi. This Diwali, the vegetarian restaurant, OmNom at Namaste in Islington is hosting a vibrant five-day celebration from 16th-20th October, featuring a festive Diwali Thali for £22.95 with standout dishes including Punjabi Samosas, Panchkutiyu Shaak, Kaju Paneer Masala, Tadka Daal, butter naan, pilau rice, and Gulab Jamun. Ambassadors Clubhouse is celebrating the festival of lights in true Punjabi opulence with a limited-edition Five-Course Diwali Feast Menu, available from 18th–27th October with vegetarian (£110) and non-vegetarian (£115) options.
Highlights from the Diwali menu include BBQ Butter Chicken Chops, the indulgent Shahi Patiala Lamb Chop, and regal Ranjit Shahi Lobster Curry on the non-vegetarian side, while the vegetarian menu features smoky Dunghar Paneer Tikka, Kaju Masala Mooli Bun Kebab, and a fragrant Methi Romanesco & Channa Biryani as its centrepiece.
