Why Spend 24 Hours In Paris… When You Can Spend 25 Hours

It’s no surprise that Onin.London loves Paris, it’s a quick and easy city break that takes only a couple hours on the Eurostar or it’s a short flight. So on a recent trip, when 25hours Hotel Terminus Nord reached out to us and asked to come stay… it really was a no brainer.

The hotel is situated in the heart of the French capital, directly opposite the Gare du Nord train station. Now in the manner of full disclosure, I’ve stayed in hotels around Gare Du Nord before and they’re either really expensive or really cheap, but all with the same tired interior and just a place to lay your head in between exploring Paris.

Now 25Hours Hotel Terminus Nord has upped the game and we almost don’t want to share!!! Price wise the rooms average around £200 a night so not bad for where the hotel is located but the hotel felt like a 5 star hotel! The hotel has been in Paris for years but it’s recently been filled with a whole fresh, new life and has become a casual hotspot in the exuberant 10th arrondissement.

The design of the hotel is inspired by the African and Asian residents of the quarter. We’re told that the art expert Alex Toledano wrote his graduation thesis on the people and history of the neighbourhood and then with his Parisian art consultancy agency VISTO IMAGES and his team of curators and artists, historians and storytellers, Toledano developed a custom-made artistic concept for 25hours. Keep an eye out for the “Neighbourhood Heroes” portrait series throughout the hotel. It really is a stunning hotel and my friend and I enjoyed looking at all the little touches!

We didn’t eat in the restaurant for lunch or dinner or have a cocktail in the bar, but we did have breakfast at the hotel and loved it. Best buffet breakfast I’ve had in awhile… they even had a mimosa station with Champagne. The French have told me that Champagne is French Sparkling Water and life so I loved this.

Each room is equipped with all 25hours standards that urban nomads appreciate: Beds in high sleep quality, air conditioning, sustainable cosmetics, flat screen TV, minibar, UE Boom Bluetooth speakers and free high-speed W-Lan.

The brief promised “Carpets with Asian-graphic ornaments, African fabrics and strong wall colours or wallpapers with floral motifs provide a cosy ambience. Ceramic wash bowls lend the bathrooms a touch of the Orient. Filigree lamps made of brass-coloured metal immerse the rooms in a warm light and instead of cupboards, guests can hang and stow their clothes in mobile racks – inspired by the classic hotel trolleys on which clothes bags are transported to the parades in the fashion capital Paris”. The rooms certainly delivered on all their promises!

We loved our room! And the view from our balcony overlooked Gare du Nord Train Station and the Sacrè Coeur. Absolutely beautiful!

So next time you’re visiting Paris, make sure you book 25Hours Hotel Terminus Nord
