Wimbledon gets first ever strawberries and cream latte as Lavazza debuts its limited-edition twist
Coffee lovers heading to Wimbledon this year will be able to sip a brand-new strawberries & cream latte, inspired by the tournament’s most iconic treat. The first ever strawberries and cream latte is available at The Championships now for the duration of the tournament.
The Official Coffee of Wimbledon has unveiled a limited-edition iced creation, debuted the Victoria Frozen, that blends rich double espresso with sweet strawberry syrup mixed with some vanilla and cold milk, a swirl of whipped cream all layered over ice for a refreshing finish.
Visitors and ticket holders will be the first to try the new drink at the tournament, with it being a standout seasonal serve of The Championships served at all three of their cafés on the grounds:
- Southern Village Café
- The Hill Coffee
- Walled Garden Coffee
But it won’t just be Wimbledon guests who get a taste. The delicious strawberries & cream latte will also be available at the Lavazza Flagship Store, bringing a slice of SW19 to central London throughout the tournament.
Whether it is enjoyed between matches, court side or soaking up the atmosphere in Soho, the Victoria Frozen is the ultimate summer pick me up that delivers a delicious twist on Wimbledons’ most stand out tradition.
For those wanting to recreate the taste at home, the recipe can also be easily made with a handful of simple ingredients:
Ingredients:
- 150g ice
- 25g syrup
- 130ml milk
- 40ml espresso
- 1 scoop of strawberry gelato
- 20g sponge cake crumbs
Instructions:
- Put the ice cubes into 300 ml high tumbler
- Pour the strawberries syrup
- Add milk on it
- Brew the espresso and pour it over
- Scoop up the strawberries gelato and sprinkle the crumbs
